Dactil is a dimorphodon and is a member of the Sauropod's flight crew. He is Sprite's second-in-command, and if Alass Tikka and Sprite are away on a mission Dactil takes control of the Sauropod. Like the other dimorphodon, he is perky, excitable, and helpful. While Dactil is implied to always have been present as a background character, he first appears in The Sabre-Tooth Secret, in which Teggs gives him temporary command of the ship while he visits Outpost Q.
