William "Will" McKenzie is the main protagonist and the narrator of the Inbetweeners. He is played by starring cast member Simon Bird and debuts in the series premiere. He is the most unpopular of the four leads, with special attentions from Mark Donovan, and Mr Gilbert, albeit for reasons that were his own fault. He has many nicknames, the most frequent being 'Briefcase'. The series and films focus on Will the most showing his struggle in socialising during his period between childhood and adulthood from ages 16-19.
