Darren Fairhurst was a story associate on Coronation Street for 512 episodes beginning his association with the programme in August 1999 and ending it in July 2002. He has also written for The Royal Today, Hollyoaks, Shameless, Holby City and was the creator of Crime Stories and the co-creator of Suspects along with his ex-Coronation Street colleagues Steve Hughes and Paul Marquess.
