The River Thurne is a river in the Norfolk Broads area of Norfolk. The town of Potter Heigham which has Sonnings boatyard is on the river The Death and Glory gets a Tow out of Trouble from the Cachalot "down the river to Thurne Mouth .... and up the Thurne to Potter Heigham (BS6). At the end of The Big Six the Death and Glories go in the Cachalot "down the Bure and up the Thurne" to the Roaring Donkey.
