Berea-3 was a "combination ship" that consisted of a stripped-down Quasar Fire-class bulk cruiser that had been coupled to a mining rig. The vessel was used by the company Imperial Mining, Limited and during the Galactic Civil War, the Berea-3 acted as the command ship of an IML fleet that was dispatched to deliver supplies to an IML base on the planet Alluuvia, in the Elrood sector. However, shortly after arriving in the Alluuvian system, the Berea-3 and the rest of the fleet were attacked and defeated by a Rebel Alliance ship and the Shepherd-class Herdship Varnay.
