June Barry (born 15th June, 1935) played the recurring role of Joan Davies, the daughter of Jack and Annie Walker, in Coronation Street between 1961 and 1964. A Mezzo soprano, her other credits include Z Cars and Dempsey And Makepeace. Formerly married to the writer David Whitaker, she remains best known for her portrayal of June in the highly successful 1967 BBC series The Forsyte Saga. When the character of Joan Davies returned to the Street in 1978 she was played by Dorothy White.
