Richard Rodgers (born 1902) and Oscar Hammerstein II (born 1895) are an infuential, innovative and succesful American Musical Theatre writing team, usually referred as Rodgers and Hammerstein. In all, among the many Accolades that their Shows, their Films Versions and Television Specials garnered were thirty-four Tony Awards, fifteen Academy Awards, ten Emmy Awards, the Pulitzer Prize and two Grammy Awards.
