The Horadric Scroll is a quest item in Act II of Diablo II. It is first found inside a golden chest, hidden within the sewers beneath Lut Gholein and guarded by Radament. Picking up the Scroll initiates The Horadric Staff (quest). The player is tasked with showing the scroll to Deckard Cain, who, as the last living Horadrim, has the knowledge to translate the ancient Horadric Runes. The Scroll relates the story of Baal's imprisonment within Tal Rasha's Tomb and provides clues as to where the player might find the components needed for restoring an Horadric Staff.
