Drayan was a Ferengi who served aboard a Ferengi cargo ship in the 2370s. In 2372, Drayan was detained by the Bajoran Militia after he remained on Bajor following a Bajoran resolution that was enacted to expel all Ferengi from Bajoran space. Drayan and his crewmates were detained in the Gallitep labor camp under Colonel Mitra. Drayan suffered a temporary loss of hearing due to the extreme winter conditions, until Quark and Rom were able to help Drayan and his crewmates escape. (DS9 novel: The 34th Rule)
