The Kamino system was a planetary system in the Wild Space region of galaxy. The system had two stars, one a red giant and the other a blue dwarf. One of the system's planets was Kamino, an entirely aquatic world that was the home of the Kaminoan species. Kamino was orbited by a moon, Atlantica. Centuries before the Invasion of Utapau, the system was part of the Kingdom of Kamino.
