Sage Knowledge is additional information about the world of Ivalice in Final Fantasy XII, and is gained by defeating a set number of one kind of enemy, e.g. 10 Sleipnir or 12 Wolves. There are 78 pieces of Sage Knowledge to be collected, which all deal with different places, understanding of terms and of significant groups of people. This does not mean that there are only 78 different kinds of enemies, as there can be other kinds of extra info to be collected by defeating enemies, such as gossip, synthesize information and other rumors.
