Sam is an antagonist first encountered in Issue 38 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is a resident of Woodbury. Sam is character also featured in The Walking Dead: The Fall of the Governor where he is called "Curtis" during the shootout. He served as a secondary antagonist in Volume 7: The Calm Before
