Augustans (Augustan: Αυγυστανοι Aŭgustanoj) are an ethnic group in South Majatra forming the dominant ethnicity in Zardugal and a significant minority in Cobura and neighboring nations. Descending from Selucian colonists and various native peoples, Augustans derive their name from the medieval Augustan Empire, and speak a language derived from Selucian, with significant Delic, Dunic, and Kalopian influences, called Augustan. Most Augustans are members of the Terran Patriarchal Church, the modern descendant of the Augustan Church. A very large number of them are also irreligious or adhere to other faiths.
