A seasoned party Kalistanian politics, the Socialist Libertarian Party of Kalistan was the dominant force in Kalistani politics in the late 2300s and early 2400s. After a twenty year long slump following a sharp decline in electoral fortune between 2377 and 2392, the SLP gradually rebuilt to achieve relative domination of Kalistani politics for a two decade-long period. The party held key Cabinet positions including the Chancellery and defence. The current leader of the party is Mark Hopkins, while his father and former leader Alan Hopkins was a former President and Chancellor of Kalistan, and Hopkins' successor Adrienne Bealieu was also a Chancellor. The SLP has, at various points, held every position in the Cabinet, although not at the same time.
