Shir is an ancient city-state on the River Maurat that served as the original capital of the Shiradi Empire. Shir was razed to the ground by Xiuhianni invaders from Jekk in the fifteenth century, and the capital of the Shiradi Empire was subsequently moved to Aöknyssus.
