Eddie Kaye is an illegal arms dealer, working in a partnership with Max Klizer, Klizer doing marketing while Kaye does distribution. Kaye is characterized by an icy demeanor, and he is motivated solely by profit, not race or politics. Kaye's hangout is in the Glades, which is where Klizer sends Sonny Burnett to do business. Kaye agreed to Burnett's price and list of items, but on the day the deal is set, Bunny Berrigan and Sean Carroon convince Klizer to sell them two Stingers (of the five Kaye promised Burnett and Topo Manyeri) at double retail, leaving Burnett two Stingers short. Burnett confronts Kaye about this shortfall, but Kaye offers biological weapons as compensation. When Burnett questions the effectiveness of the Stingers (being manufactured in 1980, six years earlier), Kaye ans
