Although not set on a planet orbiting Aldebaran, Darkover does orbit a not dissimilar red giant star. Names inspired by the Carcosa Mythos can be found in the series, despite no direct links, such as the clan Hastur, the domains of Hastur and Elhalyn and the town of Hali.
