Sinyan Arms Manufactures, often known as S.A.M., was a major weapon producing company based on the planet Sinya. Formed during the early years of the Republic of Sinya, S.A.M. quickly became the largest producer of weapons on the planet. By the time of the Clone Wars, S.A.M.'s Defender-class tactical shotgun had become popular throughout the galaxy. It also earned a reputation as one of the best slugthrower producing companies in existance. S.A.M.'s only major competition on Sinya was Schmitt-Wulfe Arms Corporation, which also produced high-quality slugthrowers and projectile weapons.
