A synth manufacturer based in Wales. The company was founded in 1992 by Mark Thompson and Ian Jannaway, the latter of whom had previously worked for Cheetah and had designed the MS6 synth. Novations' best known products from the 1990 period are the Bass Station and Supernova synths. In the 2000s, the company turned its attention towards controller devices. A notable product in this category is the Remote series of master keyboards, which were among the first keyboard controllers to incorporate a variety of control devices (knobs, switches, sliders) which could be assigned to various MIDI command strings.
