This three-part documentary portrayed record producer Jerry Wexler (1917-2008), who was particularly associated with the work of Aretha Franklin. It was narrated by Peel for BBC Radio 2 and originally went out on 21st July, 28th July and 4th August 1999 (JP refers to it on 21 July 1999). It has since been repeated at least three times.
