Norman Birchill was one of the bailiffs Eric Pollard hired in order to get Pearl Ladderbanks out of Jacobs Fold in June 2007. Pearl and Edna Birch arranged a sit in and refused to get out, so Eric and the bailiffs took action, turning off the electricity and water. However, Pearl was forced to admit defeat when Eric and the bailiffs managed to flood the house, soaking Pearl in the process.
