Guild Marks were a special currency used by the various guilds all around the land of Eorzea in Final Fantasy XIV, each one with its own marks. Therefore, a Gladiator guild mark is useless at the Thaumaturge guild. The system was put on hiatus in patch 1.19, and, ultimately abandoned entirely. Players were allowed to refund guild marks for gil or materia prior to the launch of A Realm Reborn.
