|Progressive mode in your camcorder is not the full vertical resolution of interlaced mode, and it is 30 Frames per second instead of 60 fields per second so there is a 'loss' of temporal information.A 'true' progressive camcorder would not lose any vertical resolution but would still lose some temporal information -- for many subjects the loss of temporal information would be visually insignificant. |}
