A chando was a type of herbivorous, short-necked, dinosaur-like creature that was used as a beast of burden on the planet Endregaad during the era of the New Republic. They were about three meters high and they responded to most stimuli by braying. In 19 ABY, there was an oubreak of a deadly viral plague on Endregaad, and the Human Simol Toc assembled a caravan of chandos to tow some cargo lifters to the Temple Valley and deliver medicinal supplies to families living in the surrounding region.
