Doctor Shamon was mining for gold when he was engaged in his sky mining project. Hank and Ben used their Blue Jet to travel across the United States to render the ore null of its' gold, so as to sabotage gold mining operations, because they felt that gold was a worthless metal which just fed the human species its' greed.
