As a young Jedi, Revan was considered to be an extraordinary student by his many teachers. He also exhibited a great deal of charisma; this trait allowed him to gain support as he argued for Jedi intervention when the Mandalorians attacked the Galactic Republic in 3,928 BrS. When the Jedi Council refused to take part in the war, and sought to arrest Revan and his followers, he created the Revanchists, a group of organized Jedi under his command, dedicated to defending the Republic from the Mandalorian threat.
