The invasion started on Day 1/December 17. 7 months after the Battle of Korce and its concurrents. The Russians start invading at 0330hours. Several soldiers were killed in the invasion including civilians. Many vehicles where destroyed, sunk or even captured. While trying to defend as much as they could, they still lose control of Kunar Province.
