In 2374, Kellin piloted a vessel of this type in an effort to return to the USS Voyager where she had previously fallen in love with Commander Chakotay. She was successful in returning, however the ship was later attacked by two more cloaked vessels of this type. It was only by modifications to the sensor array that Voyager was able to detect the ships, which soon retreated. (VOY: "Unforgettable") The Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 2, p. 203) identified this ship type as the "Ramuran tracer ship".
