Poldarn was a serious alcoholic, but he knew every trick of the trade. A master-thief, he taught everything he knew to a young Kanshin, who struggled to keep him sober and alive long enough to learn it all. Once Kanshin left to strike out on his own, Poldarn slid back into a bottle. He died less than two weeks later, though it's unknown if it was liver disease or the drink itself that finally killed him.
