His Majesty Augustan I, King of Rutania (b.2905) was the monarch over the Commonwealth of Rutania. He was the founder of the House of Vandermark, the Royal Dynasty of the Commonwealth. His original name is Dedryck Vandermark, he was chosen to become the monarch of Rutania. His reigned lasted from 2958 to - 2978. Augustan is a staunch advocate for the Rutanian Church and in so doing has created made the church into a 'de facto' religion in the traditionally secular Commonwealth. Augustan died shortly after his son, Casimir I of Rutania, took the throne, after a massive and crippling stroke.
