Munchers are enemies in Donkey Kong Country Returns. They only appear in the stage Muncher Marathon, the second to last stage in Forest. They are small spider creatures that live inside a large tree. They come in swarms and hatch out of their eggs when Donkey Kong pounds the logs out of his way. They chase him rapidly throughout the stage; up or across.
