Lodar Monak was the Green Lantern Corps member assigned to Space Sector 1132. Returning home to his home planet of Arden with permission to begin training his son as his successor, he came home to find his planet under attack by Z'Nang warships. Quickly deducing that the point of the attack had been to draw him out, he nonetheless raced home to save his family. He fought valiantly, but he and his wife were struck down by yellow energy beams. Before he died, Lodar passed his ring on to his son, Meeno Monak. The threat to their supremacy eliminated, the war-bots prepared to leave, but were destroyed by Meeno. Lodar Monak is memorialized in the Crypts of Oa.
