Sam has also appeared in Totally Frank, Casualty, Doctors, Hex and had a recurring role in Gavin & Stacey. In February 2014, it was announced that Samuel would join the long-running BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who in the recurring role of Danny Pink, alongside former Emmerdale co-star Jenna Coleman and new Doctor portrayer Peter Capaldi.
