The Type-47 Ultra Heavy Assault Platform (Scarab) is a Covenant mobile mining platform adapted for use in combat. It can serve as an Heavy Assault Vehicle, Mobile Command Post or a Mining Platform. It is armed with a powerful Main Cannon, Anti Aircraft Turrets and three Type-52 Directed Energy Support Weapons. Usually, there is one commanding officer for the vehicle and numerous crewmen and security personnel for the defenses of the Scarab. In Halo 3, there is a Lekgolo controlling the Scarab.
