The Dairylea Cooperative (originally called The Dairymen's League) started in 1907, when a group of dairy farmers in Orange County, New York, united to increase their bargaining power. By the 1920s, the Cooperative's membership had grown to more than 100,000 farms. While initially based in Pearl River, New York, the organization is currently based in East Syracuse, New York.
