District 9 was a camp (and the main place for the movie of the same name) composed of a number of shacks built for the residency of the non-humans. It was built in Johannesburg, South Africa. It housed 1.8 million non-humans with a growing population.It was then demolished after all non-humans were moved to the new District 10 outside of Johannesburg.
