Edrich was a 24th century Human Starfleet flag officer. In the year 2371, Edrich held the rank of commodore. He was the officer who relayed orders to Jean-Luc Picard to take on Admiral Leonard McCoy as a consultant in that year. (TNG novel: Crossover) By 2379 he was an admiral and considered an elder statesman at Starfleet Command. He was responsible for informing Captain Picard of Doctor Beverly Crusher's disappearance on Kevratas and ordering Picard to Kevratas with another medical expert to help cure their plague.
