In the Weirdest Story Ever Told episode segment, "To Babs or Not to Babs", When Babs auditions to be in William Shakespeare's "King Lear", she satirizes "The Taming of the Shrew" by taming The Shrew. As Babs is dressed in a safari outfit and holding a whip, The Shrew obeys her commands by riding a red ball. After Shakespeare interrupts Babs, The Shrew bites his foot.
