[Source] The Lifesaver 1000 Reserve Hyperdrive was a Class 5.0 hyperdrive made by Sienar Fleet Systems. It was recommended for backup use only and needed to be overhauled after each use. Contrary to its name, the Lifesaver 1000 was an unreliable and unsafe hyperdrive unit even while new. Fenig Nabon decided against such a drive for her ship, choosing instead to import from off-planet rather than install the "death wish."
