Peter Mitchell (born in 1985 in Limavady, Northern Ireland) appeared in Coronation Street between February and April 2015 as Weatherfield General patient Sam Hayden. In real life, Peter lost the use of his legs following a car accident in 2002 having begun a career as a professional footballer. He became an actor in 2009 and has also appeared in Hollyoaks, Doctors, Cast Offs, Rick and Pete and White Van Man 2.
