Mont Ventoux was a mountain in southern France. According to the Leonardo da Vinci hologram in 2374, when Petrarch had climbed Mont Ventoux and saw all of Europe beneath, he realized that he was witnessing the birth of a new era, the Renaissance. (VOY: "Concerning Flight")
