Melissa Chapman is the only daughter of Vice-Principal Hedrick Chapman who is also a high ranking Controller. Chapman and Mrs. Chapman agreed to become voluntary Controllers in exchange for the Yeerks leaving Melissa alone. Rachel and Melissa were friends growing up and participated in gymnastics together. Melissa along with her family survived when Marco and Tobias decide to park a tank on top of their house. It is unknown what happened to her after the end of the war.
