Back in the Red: Part I is the first episode in Series VIII of Red Dwarf. It is the forty-fifth episode overall. It is the first episode to feature all the central characters of the show together in a single episode since the pilot episode (Lister, Rimmer, the Cat, Kryten, Holly, Kochanski and Captain Hollister), and also the first episode to showcase the newly nanobot-rebuilt and improved Red Dwarf ship.
