Elite Enemies are optional adversaries in The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon that are stronger than the normal enemies. They wear special helmets that give them their extra strength. While wearing the helmet, Elite Enemies can only be hit by the dragon breath of the same color the helmet wields. The helmet will eventually fall off, making the enemy subjectable to all melee and breath attacks. You can find the Elite Enemies in these areas of the game:
