Since the advent of Telian fusion powered space flight, along with the high relativistic speeds encountered by spacecraft travelling at high driver velocities, which in some cases approaches the speed of light, it became very important to have a method for providing temporal synchronisation for all Telians operating space craft. In high polar orbit over Telios Prime, the Time Beacon regularly transmits time code data along the TelNET, allowing all users connected to synchronise their ship chronometers.
