This species of rhinoceros had evolved from a prehistoric woolly rhinoceros that migrated from Asia to North America. It is similar to its ancestors in niche, appearance, size, and its diet. It lives in the grasslands of Alaska and Northern Canada. Unlike most other rhinoceros species, this species of rhinoceros is not endangered.
