Franz Scheidies (22 December 1890 – 7 April 1942) was a German general during World War II and 2nd recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves () serving in the infantry. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Scheidis was killed by a Soviet sniper on 7 April 1942 near Gluschitza.
