James Gilbert (born January 15, 1982) is a Canadian film, television, and stage actor. James is best known for his role as William Brereton in the second season of the Showtime historical drama series, The Tudors. James will star in the remake of Moby Dick along with William Hurt, Ethan Hawke and Eddie Marsen. James is presently filming the suspense thriller The Corridor in Nova Scotia. He has also appeared in numerous television shows such as Flashpoint, The Border, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Trapped, and My Daughter's Secret. He has also been in films such as American Soldiers, Magic Flute Diaries, and The Cry of the Owl. He is also a founding member of Column 13 Theatre Company in Toronto, appearing in many stage productions, as well as directing one of his own. James is a graduate
