L'enfant que j'étais was the entry representing Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1957, and represented once again by Lys Assia. This song is about Lys being a child and looking back at it, stating lines such as "The child that I was, where does she play today?", "A winter time, wrinkle takes you" and "Going to the fair, the child that I was" The song was performed last on the night, following Denmark. At the close of voting, it finished in 8th place with 5 points.
