The 2008 presidential election of Rio Blanco took place on 1 August 2008, to elect the president of Rio Blanco. If a candidate gained 51% (or more) of the votes, he/she would be elected President. In this election, 81% of the population (6,248,000 inhabitants) voted. The elections saw the incumbent President Carl Sladger being reelected for another term, with 59.4% of the votes, along with the Progressives forming a coalition with the Greens and the Constitution Party.
